How to install VMware Server 2.0.2 on Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope

While running Ubuntu 9.10 RC in a virtual machine from a VMware Server instance, I remembered about the arrow keys and others that didn’t work quite well in the VMware Server’s console.
